April showers bring May flowers is what they say. While the weather is warming up, the rainy days make it downright frigid. Your winter coats are too heavy and you want the perfect little something to thrown on in and out of the house. Well, I found the perfect sweater to fight the damp days, as well as the chilly summer nights, while still looking fashionable. Best of all, it can be worn TWELVE different ways. The styling possibilities are endless

I discovered the DKNY “Cozy” in the dead of winter when I was in dire need of a fashionable option to keep me warm.  The black sweater had me confused at first. “What are you”? I asked the half sweater/half wrap. DKNY’s fine knit, long sleeve versatile sweater, known as The Cozy, features a scarf which allows for multiple styling options. The toasty top fits like a regular cardigan, but drapes at the front. I tossed each side over my shoulder and it was like wearing a pashima wrap, but with the cardigan attached. PERFECT! I wore the scarf EVERYWHERE and even bought one for my sister, who raved about it’s warm vibe and cool look. We even spied a photo of Brad Pitt departing from an airplane with a variation of this uber cardigan.

Only did I find out much later that the sweater is actually intended to be worn 12 different ways. It didn’t come with instructions, and I only found this out after seeking out a second scarf for spring. While browsing the DKNY website I spotted a link that said ‘12 ways to wear a cozy’. From there, I was shocked at the fun, fashionable and even practical alternatives that I had no idea I was missing out on. I discovered it could be wore tied in a knot, twisted, belted, and even backwards. A world of fashion idea’s I hadn’t yet engaged.

I am still trying out the different variations, but my usual ‘draped over each shoulder’ look is a daily standard. My black, winter version is in wool and for spring they have reinvented the sweater in lighter materials such as cotton and whisper-weight viscose linen with color variations such turquoise, pebble, lapis and vanilla, in addition to standard black. I ended up purchasing another sweater in lapis for the warmer weather months and have been wearing it trying to brighten up these dreary days.
