What will Gossip Girl’s Blair Waldorf and Serena Van Der Woodsen wear to the prom their senior year? You don’t have to wait for the show to air on May 12 to find out what this duo will be decked out in since I have the photo’s right here, courtesy of Red Carpet Fashion.
Leighton Meester as Blair Waldorf, will wear the jaw dropping, stunningly beautiful gown from Marchesa Spring 2008. The black silk tulle ball gown, with gold appliqués is a one-of-a-kind couture runway piece, which will not be reproduced for the public, which is fitting for the Queen Bee.
The gown was also seen on Penelope Cruz, who was decked out in this show-stopper for Vogue magazine in December 2007.
Meanwhile, Blake Lively as Serena Van Der Woodsen will wear a $19,000 pink crystallized Christian Dior Spring 2009 halter gown. The whimsical rose colored gown with silver embroidery was one of 30 choices provided. The gown’s flowing hemlines paired with Serena’s long and loose curls complete her signature, effortless look.
My own senior prom gown was a jade green satin mermaid gown, with a fitted bodice and flare hemline. At the time I thought I was hot shit considering it fit me like a glove but considering what these 2 are wearing, I wouldn’t stand a chance.

OMG. Your prom dress was admired immensely at the time. I’m picturing it now – lol.
As for GG, these dresses fit them, but Marchesa’s dumb not to produce the Blair dress for public consumption. I’m sure at least 1 or 2 NYC richies would buy it (me included if I had the $$$).

I love Blairs dress its soo her and so gorgeous but Serenas makes her boobs looks seriously saggy
which sucks for her cuz normally she shows wayy too much cleavage but this is ALMOST worse

Blair’s gown is GORGEOUS…I love Marchesa and I am hoping to wear a Marchesa gown for my prom. They are to die for, in my opinion. Serena’s dress is okay, wayyyy too much money, but Blair’s dress is one of a kind. Her’s is definitely the better choice. Blair’s style to me is more extravagant and sophisticated than Serena’s, and I like that.
