Need a fashion fix? The Marc by Marc Jacobs accessories shop is a retail dream and best yet, everything is REALLY inexpensive.

Who said luxury has to be expensive? Marc Jacobs knows you don’t have to spend a million bucks to look like a million bucks. Even though he is at the helm of the Louis Vuitton label, as well as his own Marc Jacobs line, he introduced a lower priced label Marc by Marc Jacobs a few years ago. Now he has a shop in NYC dedicated only to Marc by Marc Jacobs accessories. No, it’s on the one you are thinking of since this fairly new shop only carries the cost conscience accessories young teens and stylish city gals love.

Mixed Python Tote $49-$89

I made a recent trip to the shop looking for another patent leather tote bag. Originally purchased last fall, I heard they would be re-introducing the totes for Spring so I dropped by the see what they had in store. Sadly, no patent leather totes but instead a wide array of fun and practical other items. During the hectic shopping time of day I was frantically grabbing items from the shelves and elbowing people out of my way, but there was no need for panic since the store stocks a ton of inexpensive merchandise.

First order of business, striped fingerless gloves for $5. I know it’s Spring, but my office is always freezing so I keep these at my desk so my hands stay toasty while I type. Also, on the agenda was a pair of wellies for $28. They are available in 5 colors and a necessity for anyone who treks around NYC during stormy days.

Punk Hard Case

I flipped when I saw the punk studded clutch for $47 and the matching hardcase for $16. Available in 3 colors and totally reminiscent of 80’s punk, this pair is perfect for going out. I suppose you could use the hard case to store business cards, but it’s ideal for holding your license and cash when carrying a teeny clutch. Another version of the hard case is available with chain strap for $17.

Punk Clutch $29

A real steal was a patent clutch for $29. Perfect for summer it goes with everything and even has a built in credit card organizer and bill fold on the inside. I purchased one in white and LOVE IT! This item also comes is a slightly smaller version as a wallet for $23.

Keyloops $5

Keychains are always a must at the Marc by Marc Jacobs store because I constantly mis-place my keys. These shiny key loops are only $5 and available in 8 colors. They resemble metallic snakeskin and can be unsnapped to attach to anything whether it be the inside of your purse or a belt loop. They are also available in solid, shiny plastic in 15 colors for $5.

Punk Studded Clutch

New for Summer, the Mixed Python Tote is a slam dunk. Priced from $49 to $89 depending on the size, this tote holds the same shape as my trusty patent tote only in a fresh take with multi-color python patent. This bag looks like it’s far more expensive than the price tag and perfect for a day at the beach, carrying your work-load or a night out.
