LATEST UPDATE: First Lady Michelle Obama looks simply stunning in NYC as she spoke at Time Magazine’s “100 Most Influential People” gala.
UPDATE: Here’s a photo of First Lady Michelle Obama as she appeared at the United Nations on Tuesday, with Susan Rice, the American ambassador to the United Nations.
First Lady Michelle Obama is in NYC on her 1st official trip. Obama is scheduled to speak at a black-tie affair tonight to celebrate Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people. Upon her arrival, Obama made a stop at the United Nations to meet the staff of UN Ambassador Susan Rice.
NBC just showed the First Lady exiting the building and you can imagine my surprise when I saw what she was wearing: the EXACT SAME, now famous, Tracy Feith dress she sported the day after the inauguration.
Feith was launched into the fashion stratosphere when Michelle Obama wore a dress designed by him to mass on her first day as First Lady. The Japanese-style print dress the First Lady wore to the National Prayer Service was just one of the fashion-forward pieces she has become known for by selecting a designer who flew under the radar. This could be Michelle Obama’s way of challenging the stigma that you cannot wear the same item twice. Obama’s fashion choices have included J. Crew and Talbots, showing that looking great doesn’t necessarily cost a fortune. And speaking of low priced fashionable clothes, Tracy Feith’s collaboration with Target GO International arrives in stores in 12 days.
