Monday night’s Met Costume Institute Gala was a fashion hit and is still the talk of the town. But with any soiree is sure to come some bad behavior.

On Tuesday morning, Guest of a Guest reported that at an after-party at Submercer a fight that broke out when actor Kiefer Sutherland HEAD BUTTED fashion designer Jack McCollough, co-founder of Proenza Schouler. The head butt was so hard that he BROKE the designer’s nose while guests like Mary-Kate Olsen and Kirsten Dunst looked on in horror. Jack was rushed to the hospital and Sutherland was apparently was upset over Brooke Shields. This morning PageSix has revealed the fight was indeed over model/actress Brooke Shields.  McCollough spent the night in the hospital and has since filed a complaint with cops.

According to one eyewitness account, “Sutherland was really drunk and he got accidentally bumped by McCollough. They started arguing and then he just head-butted him.”

Another story I read said Sutherland was talking to Brooke Shields when SHE was bumped by McCollough and after he refused an apology, Kiefer head-butted him. Shields’ reps said the man Kiefer headbutted Monday night in no way did anything to Brooke that would have warranted the alleged attack. Witnesses say Kiefer went up to Jack and demanded he apologize to Brooke. Jack allegedly pushed Kiefer and Kiefer then headbutted Jack.
