We are only 1 week away from Matthew Williamson for H&M

Daria Werbowy & Matthew Williamson
High-end fashion designer Matthew Williamson will launch his affordable collection for H&M on May 14. Unlike the previous designers such as Karl Lagerfeld, Victor & Rolf and Stella McCartney this will be the first time in H&M’s designer collaboration history that the mega store will offer the line in ALL of its stores. The British designer’s collection already sold out in a limited engagement at 200 H&M stores on April 23, so we’ve already seen the line and the great pieces being offered. Now, in 1 week from today EVERYBODY can get their Matthew Williamson fix when the entire collection arrives in EVERY STORE. I already called my local H&M to confirm they would be receiving the entire line and what time they open (they will & 10am).
Just because he’s already had a fabulous release party and a sell out in stores, Williamson wants to make sure the second release is just as exciting so he’s premiered a catchy new commercial for the line. Starring model Daria Werbowy the commercial is set to club song “It’s Time for Change” which makes you want to jump up and dance. I wonder if the theme song symbolizes H&M’s concept of “style for the masses” saying that you don’t need to spend a fortune to look great. The psychedelic skit ends with a neon meteorite hitting earth and Matthew Williamson emerging surrounded by models. I LOVE IT!
In typical Matthew Williamson fashion the collection provides a dose of colorful, bohemian prints and ethnic influences. Williamson said of the line, “This summer collection really embraces the holiday lifestyle. The silhouette is softened with the addition of long flowing dresses, smocks and kaftans in weightless fabric, and the peacock palette is warmed by accents of red and pink”. Williamson said the line came about thanks to past H&M collaborator Madonna. She invited Matthew to one of her first-ever Kabbalah parties in London, where he met Margareta van den Bosch from H&M, who later signed him on to do a line.
And the rest is history
