Watching Part I of “The Real Housewives of NYC” reunion show last night I was SHOCKED to learn that ‘housewife’ Countess LuAnn de Lesseps found out her marriage was over via email. WTF? I’ve heard of some doozies but that is cowardly behaviour considering that The Count was overseas when he sent the email and couldn’t endure the wrath of The Countess in person.

Princess Kemeria Abajobir Abajifar
Count Alexandre de Lesseps left his Countess wife, LuAnn, for an Ethopian Princess, a title that’s even bigger than his. Princess Kemeria Abajobir Abajifar, the granddaughter of King Abajifar, the last King from the Gibe Kingdom of Jimmaa is the woman at the center of the couple’s divorce. The Ethiopian princess, and granddaughter of the King, is the niece of Ababiya Abajobir, another prominent man in the Oromo-Ethiopian community. He was one of the founding members of the OLF (Oromo Liberation Front), a guerrilla organization representing the majority Oromo ethnic group of Ethiopia, and served in various positions in the organization throughout its 35 year history. According to sources, the Princess and the Count wanted her name to be released so that she will no longer be referred to as ‘the Ethiopian woman’ and instead addressed by her proper, royal title.
In a heartless display, The Count notified his wife of his relationship with the Princess in an email. Meanwhile, The Count and his new Princess are said be canoodling their way through Geneva. Determined to move on, LuAnn is busy with her new book “Class with the Countess” while wrapping up Season 2 of the “Housewives of NYC.” LuAnn recently told People magazine that she separated from her husband of 16 years over months ago. Her reaction on being dumped via email? “I just think some people aren’t good at confrontation.” She really does have class because my response would have been far worse than that.
The Count is 56, an “old man” according to “Housewife” Ramona Singer, while LuAnn is 43. Together they have two beautiful children: Noel, 12, and Victoria, 14. When LuAnn married the Count, she became legally entitled to the privileges of peerage, which means she’s recognized as his wife and is entitled to share in his noble recognition, or more formally; she has a life estate in her husband’s dignity. While she’s not a born peer herself, she is recognized in peerage style and so carries the legal title of Countess. Once the Count and Countess divorce, she is no longer recognized in peerage style – meaning she will not retain the title CountessLuAnn de Lesseps. However, times have changed with divorce running rampant throughout aristocratic circles, so the powers that be developed a convention that would allow divorced wives to retain a “courtesy title.” A courtesy title requires the divorced wife to mark her exit from peerage style by placing her first name before her courtesy title, followed by her last name. Meaning CountessLuAnn de Lesseps will now become LuAnn Countess de Lesseps. They do this so one can easily distinguish an ex-wife from a current wife. And by the way, LuAnn will be the Count’s fourth ex-wife. So there are a lot of “courtesy titles” left in Alex’s wake.
Let’s face it, LuAnn is a hot mama and has a lot to offer a man so I highly doubt she’ll be alone for long. I look forward to seeing the classy Countess on the prowl and enjoying single life next season. We’re rooting for you LuAnn

Among all the housewives East/South/West LuAnn is my favorite. No matter how many million $s American women have, there is always something very provincial about them. The Countess is the classiest of all of them, that is not to say she is not above losing her cool – she IS human. Her demeanor is very refined and that’s what her “friends” resent – actually her demeanor is that of a refined European, something not understood in the US. So she gives an impression that others interpret as “her thinking she is better than everyone else.” Actually she simply does engage in some of the backstabbing the others do. I wish I had more time to sing her praises – but simply said, “LuAnn You’re the Best.” PS If I were to meet her and I am a little older than she, I wouldn’t dream of addressing her as “LuAnn.” Do you hear me Bethenny; especially not if I were a chauffeur. Be sure to read her book, little girl.

I have to repeat myself here….on this ‘old man’ thing.
Ramona (who bills herself as 52 in People Magazine) stated on the reunion show that she was alone until she was 37 years old. And she just celebrated her 18th wedding anniversary.
Add up 37 + 18….=55 years of age.
ONE year younger than the Count.
If she just MET Mario when she was 37 and married him in the following year or two, she’s probably actually OLDER than the Count.
She’s so stupid. She always reveals her idiocy…but ‘kadooz’ to her.
I don’t like the way Luann has behaved this season, but I hope she catches the mistake that Romeana made with the age thing and lets her have it.
