“The Real Housewives of Orange County” has been off the air for months, while NYC and NJ grab our attention (and headlines). The drama surrounding Orange County “housewife” is still running rampant, especially since she had a court hearing yesterday regarding a temporary restraining order she had issued against her (boy)friend.
Gretchen Rossi & Jay Photoglou
Yesterday a judge in Newport Beach, California dropped a temporary restraining order against an Orange County man who says he was the secret boyfriend of Gretchen Rossi, one of the stars of “The Real Housewives of Orange County. “Gretchen and her attorney were a no show in court today, they informed the court about 30 minutes prior to the scheduled hearing time that they weren’t going to attend,” said supposed boyfriend Jay Photoglou. Rossi had obtained the restraining order against Photoglou in March after Rossi claimed Photoglou had threatened to burn down her home, kill her dogs, grabbed her hair, made harassing phone calls, and vandalized her home and car. She also said he threatened to “dispose of” Slade Smiley, a former cast member of the Bravo reality TV series who is Rossi’s current boyfriend. “He was someone I trusted and believed had my best interest at heart until he started blackmailing me and became volatile,” Rossi wrote about Photoglou in the 9-page written request for orders to stop harassment. “He has since been nothing but verbally and physically abusive to me.”

Photoglou had been friends with Rossi since January 2008 and claims he was her boyfriend during the taping of “Housewives” last year, when Rossi was engaged to another man, Jeff Beitzel. Rossi denies she ever had a romantic relationship with Photoglou, although she has said in interviews that the two briefly dated before her engagement to Beitzel, who died from leukemia in September of 2008. Who can forget the reunion when Rossi was asked about her relationship with Photoglou and called him a stalker but then turned around to call him a close family friend who she had recently spent time with at Bass Lake.
In response to Gretchen Rossi’s legal drama, cast-mate Tamra Barneyis speaking out about Rossi and what she thinks. If you recall, Barney opened the flood gates on the reunion show after explaining how she had received numerous calls from Photoglou claiming he was Gretchen’s boyfriend. “I was subpoenaed as a witness in a hearing involving…a restraining order she filed against her ex-boyfriend, Jay Photoglou,” Barney said. She went on to say, “I showed up in court only to find out the charges were dismissed after waiting 30 minutes. I find it strange for Gretchen, whom allegedly feared for her life because of this ‘stalker,’ wouldn’t even appear in Court for her hearing. This speaks volumes about her character.”
Tamra and Gretchen, who exchanged text messages the evening prior to the court appearance, have long feuded on the Bravo TV series’, which is still a sore spot for Rossi. “A few weeks ago, [Rossi] and [Smiley] drunk-dialed me. Her conversation started out guarded with ‘why don’t you like me?’ She wanted to make amends, but she didn’t appear too sincere,” Barney said. Tamra said she participated in the hearing in the spirit of honesty, and that Photoglou was “apologetic” for the waste of her time in court. “The one thing I pride myself on is that I always tell the truth, the truth will always set you free. That’s what I was planning to do [in court[, tell the truth."

In truth, I actually like Gretchen. She seems like a very nice person, but obviously she doesn’t tell the truth, which is why people don’t like her and release embarrassing toilet photo’s of her online. She needs to set the record straight once and for all so we can stop questioning what happened and just move on from it. People are already thinking the worse so how bad could it get? And Gretchen, STAY AWAY FROM THE DAMN CELL PHONE CAMERAS!

The fact that Tamra talks about “speaking the truth” is the absolutle joke. Tamr a is the true liar here.
-She lied her way onto the show (she never had money)
- The boat was never bought or owned by them, another lie
-The rolex was fake, same with the bracelet
-Simon did not leave his job like she said, he was fired for “indecent relations” with a female coworker
- She lied from day one about Gretchen
She has never been able to back up anything on Gretchen. Gretchen is a single woman who can date whoever she wants, she did nothing wrong.
Tamra is in cohoots with Jay because they are both broke and desperate so they are trying to blackmail Gretchen to get her money, it’s such a joke.

Wow, The OC girls are haters… All they did was harass Gretchen for being naturally beautiful..
Vicki uses people as her attack dogs-first Jeanna then Tamara- and promptly dumps them when they no longer suit her needs. Its sad that Lynn is buying into this- Gretchen was the only true friend but now that Lynn had her face lifted to match the other girls- she is all ego; and only thinks about being one with the in crowd.Too bad they laugh behind her back, she’ll never be one of them, Vicki made that clear at the start. She knew the money woes Lynn was suffering and didn’t want a poser in the group.
