New Moon from the Twilight series won’t be released until fall, but we’re about to get a sneak peek of what’s in store.

Footage from the Twilight sequel will be shown for the first time during the upcoming MTV Movie Awards on May 30^th. Introducing the world exclusive clip on the stage will be Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. Bella Swan and the two men in her life- lucky bitch. I seriously think they are going to need the National Guard there to protect the actors since tweens and cougars alike will swarm the awards show to catch a glimpse of the New Moon hotties.

The minute-long clip is certain to be jam packed after last years sneak peek showing Edward Cullen battling bad boy bloodsucker James (Cam Gigandet). “Fans can tune-in to the show to see sneak peeks from three of the most highly anticipated movies of the year,” Mark Burnett said. “These clips have never been seen before and we’re very excited that The Twilight Saga: New Moon is one of them.”

Hosted by Andy Samberg, the show will be telecast live on May 31 from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California.

Now that filming for The Twilight Saga: New Moon has wrapped in Vancouver the cast is moving on to the new location: Italy.

At the end of May, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Ashley Greene are headed to Italia to film the Italian/Volterra sequences of the hotly anticipated movie. International fan site, Twilighters Italia, is organizing an international Twilight fan round-up in Italy on May 30^th with approximately 1,500 people planning to attend. In addition to All Music, Italian Music TV, is doing a special on their arrival as well as hoards of Italian newspapers. Twilighters Italia will be the best source for updates on filming while the cast is there and even posted a photo where the Volturri reside (see photo). I thought I knew everything Twilight, but I missed this. My pal Katrina just let me know that Stephenie Meyer published the twelve-chaptered partial draft of Midnight Sun on her website.

The 264-pages tell the beginning of the Twilight Saga through Edward’s perspective. How could we forget that on August 28, 2008, Meyer halted the writing of Midnight Sun in response to the illegal leak of twelve chapters of the unfinished manuscript on the Internet. She stated, “If I tried to write Midnight Sun now, in my current frame of mind, James would probably win and all the Cullens would die, which wouldn’t dovetail too well with the original story. In any case, I feel too sad about what has happened to continue working on Midnight Sun, and so it is on hold indefinitely.”

In a November 2008 interview, Meyer said that, “It’s really complicated, because everyone now is in the driver’s seat, where they can make judgment calls. [...] I do not feel alone with the manuscript. And I cannot write when I don’t feel alone.” She did say that her goal was to forget about Midnight Sun for the next two years and would begin working on the novel again once she was sure that “everyone’s forgotten about it”. There are numerous fan sites with petitions to save Midnight Sun, which I think I have signed all of them. Let’s pray that Stephenie Meyer gives the readers what we want, which is a continuation on of our favorite series and a reason to keep on believing. Fingers crossed
