The red carpet arrival we have all been waiting for

They haven’t been photographed together in three months, but Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s walk on the red carpet today at the Cannes Film Festival caused stunned crowds to go wild as the fabulously dressed couple dazzled the French Riviera. Brad Pitt is attending Cannes to promote the new Quentin Tarantino film, in which he stars, ‘Inglourious Basterds.’ Brad Pitt told the audience at Cannes that he agreed to star in the film after he and Tarantino consumed “five bottles of wine and some smoking apparatus”.
Angelina arrived on Tuesday evening after spending the day attending a trial at the International Criminal Court in The Hague. Brad arrived on the French Riviera earlier this week and checked into a private villa at the exclusive Hotel Du Cap. Last night, Brangelina joined director Quentin Tarantino at a dinner for the cast and crew of Inglourious Basterds at the Michelangelo restaurant in Antibes. Angelina wore a dark Salvatore Ferragamo animal-print gown with her glossy brown hair loose, while Brad went for the smart/casual look in a grey shirt.
This morning, he joined Quentin Tarantino and his co-stars Diane Kruger, Christoph Waltz, Melanie Laurent and Michael Fassbender on the Croisette for a press conference to promote the film. Pitt looked like the debonair movie star he is decked out in a cream suit designed by Tom Ford.

Pitt said of signing up for the movie: “Quentin came to visit with the script. We talked about the back story and about movies. I got up the next day and there were five empty bottles of wine lying on the floor – five – and something resembling smoking apparatus. I don’t know what that was about. Somehow I had agreed to do the movie, and six weeks later I was in a uniform playing Aldo Raine.” Pitt plays the leader of the group, who orders his men to bring him 100 Nazi scalps, something moviegoers will see them re enact in graphic detail.
Tarantino said he chose to premiere his film at Cannes because, “All of the world’s film press are here. There’s something about being able to drop the movie, bam, at once, so everyone sees it all at the same time. It’s like the cat is out of the bag for the entire Planet Earth. I’m down with that.”

Can you read his mind…the last pic with his eyes open….thinking…”Hmmm, maybe I shouldn’t kiss her – a kiss could equal baby 8!” – or whatever they are up to.
