CANNES FILM FESTIVAL, INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS PREMIERE
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are the talk of the town as they walked the red carpet for the premiere of Quentin Tarantino’s new Second World War film, Inglourious Basterd which Pitt stars in. Jolie, dressed in Versace, looked fabulous in a nude colored, chiffon gown which showed off her toned legs and back. Pitt looked the part of classic movie star wearing a perfectly tailored tuxedo by Tom Ford.
Pitt’s co-star, Diane Kruger, looked simply radiant in a custom made ivory silk chiffon Marchesa gown with flutter sleeves and silver floral embroidered detail. Her hair, worn in a simple side swept bun, was the perfect accompaniment to her look. Kruger was escorted by her boyfriend, Joshua Jackson.
Sharon Stone hit the red carpet for the ‘Inglourious Basterds’ primere proving age is only a number. The 51-year-old actress stole the show in a strapless Balmain minidress with billowing train. Showing off her toned legs, Stone oozed sex appeal and confidence with the party in the front / business in the back glamazon dress.
Spanish actress Elsa Pataky made a dramatic entrance in a black Elie Saab gown. Pataky’s personal life has made headlines this week as rumor has it that the longtime girlfriend of Oscar winning actor, Adrian Brody, left her boyfriend for Kylie’s ex, Olivier Martinez.

Burlesque Queen, Ditz Von Teese, made her red carpet appearance wearing a demure, 50’s style dress from Christian Dior. Swedish model, Victoria Silverstedt, reigned in purple added a dash of color to the red carpet in the bold purple floor length gown.
Cannes jury member Robin Wright Penn was a vision in white. The actress wore an elegant, flowing floor-length gown by Narciso Rodriguez.
RED CARPET FAVORITES
Back on the red carpet after a bout with food poisoning, Penelope Cruz took my breath away at the premiere of her film ‘Broken Embraces.’ Cruz wore a glamorous lilac chiffon gown from Marchesa autumn/winter 2009 and stole the show. Cruz always dresses appripriate at events and allowed her gown to take center stage by pairing the ensemble with a pair of diamond drop earrings and simple hair that cascaded down her back. Simply elegant!
Also attending the ‘Broken Embraces’ premiere was actress Michelle Yeoh. Embracing the jewel tones we’ve been seeing on the red carpet, Yeoh raised the glamour stakes in a dramatic jade green, one-shoulder pleated gown.
The premiere of ‘Looking for Eric’ brought out high wattage style on the red carpet.
‘Lost’ star Evangeline Lilly rarely makes an appearance on the red carpet but, when she does she’s a hit. Lilly was divine in an emerald, ombre high-neck gown from the Valentino autumn 2009 collection. The dress remained the main focus by keeping hair slicked back and her make-up subtle.
Academy-Award winning actress Hilary Swank was dreamy in a metallic gunmetal cascading gown. The ruffled satin grey ensemble was a unique choice and designed by Giorgio Armani.
Czech supermodel Eva Herzigova injected some serious glamour on the red carpet wearing a shimmering halter-neck style transparent Atelier Versace dress. The gown was first worn just last week by the designer herself, Donatella Versace, at the White House Gala Dinner.
