Mel Gibson’s girlfriend’s pregnancy has given birth to a battle over his fortune. While appearing on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Monday night, Mel, 53, confirmed reports that his girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, 39, is pregnant. But not everyone is happy about the news. It’s being reported that Gibson’s two oldest sons, 26-year-old twins Edward and Christian, are very upset about the pregnancy and worried it could cost them some of Mel’s millions. Obviously, the child would be entitled to some of Mel’s fortune, and his family doesn’t want Oksana getting her hands on any of it. A few weeks ago, before the story broke, Mel sat down all seven of his children to break the news about Oksana’s pregnancy. Mel assured his children that the pregnancy was unplanned but they’re furious with him for leaving their mother, Robyn, and plans to take the appropriate measures to protect their inheritance.

While they await their bundle of joy, Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva are hard at work at their respective careers: Gibson tending to film projects at his Santa Monica office while Grigorieva keeps busy with her music. Oksana, who has a son, 11-year-old Alexander, by actor Timothy Dalton is the mysterious Russian beauty who was photographed frolicking with Mel in the Costa Rican surf. She is an accomplished piano player and has been signed by one of Mel’s music companies. “[Oksana] spent the last nine months locked up in a studio,” her mother Lyudmila Chernukha told PEOPLE magazine of her daughter’s collection of music which was written, arranged and sung by Oksana.  

It’s been reported that Mel Gibson’s wife, Robyn, ended their 28-year marriage after his girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, told friends she was expecting the couple’s child. Robyn finally had enough after finding out her husband had moved the 39-year-old Grigorieva and her 11-year-old son into a mansion he purchased in California. Public records confirm that Grigorieva resides in the house, which was purchased by the CFO of Mel Gibson’s production company, Icon. Sources say, “Robyn put up with Mel for years but when she found out Oksana was telling friends she was expecting it was the last straw.”  

Surprisingly, the couple don’t like together and at the end of the day return to their separate homes so Grigorieva can get her son off to a local school in the morning. Oksana’s mansion was purchased for her by Mel, but there is no word when the couple plans to shack up together.
