Usher’s divorce petition says he split from his wife in July 2008, five months before their second son was born

usher_tameka_foster_032608usher.tameka foster_0According to the divorce petition filed by Usher, he and his wife, Tameka Foster Raymond, separated five months before the birth of their second son. The R&B star, whose full name is Usher Raymond IV, claims the split took place in July 2008, less than a year after he married his former stylist in a glitzy ceremony and before son Naviyd Ely Raymond’s birth in December. “The marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken,” the petition filed by Usher in Atlanta on Friday reads. “There is no reasonable hope of reconciliation.” Tameka is contesting the divorce filing, saying through her attorney that she has been a “faithful wife and loving mother” during the marriage.

The split comes four months after Tameka suffered cardiac arrest during a cosmetic surgery procedure in Brazil. Usher canceled a performance and rushed to his wife’s side.

It was never a match made in heaven for the couple who abruptly cancelled their original wedding plans without explanation in July 2007, but later married in August. The pair finally wed in an intimate ceremony, conducted in his lawyers office, after cancelling a over the top wedding ceremony at music mogul L.A. Reid’s Sagaponack, N.Y., home which had the couple spending $10,000 on invitations alone, and had lined up singer Robin Thicke to perform and renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, along with Sylvia’s of Harlem, to cook. In the end, the pair opted for a simple ceremony in their home state of Georgia. The marriage came after speculation that the couple had called things off because of arguments involving everything from the wedding plans to the fact that Usher’s mother, Jonetta Patton, didn’t approve of Foster.  Foster was Usher’s stylist before becoming his manager, a job that was previously held by Usher’s mother, Jonnetta Patton. The staffing shuffle caused a falling out between Usher and Patton. The couple insisted that it was hospitalization that caused the postponement, and nothing more. “I was pushing myself way too hard,” the then five-months pregnant Foster, 37, told People magazine.

Less is more for the former Posh Spice

vb2Victoria Beckham, the wife of international soccer superstar David Beckham, is said to be delighted with the results of a surgery she underwent three weeks ago in Los Angeles to reduce her bust size from 34D to 34B. “Victoria has wanted her implants taken out for a while,” a source told the UK Sun. “She felt that was part of her old image which included big hair, big boobs, fake tan and that she has moved on since those days.” The fashion plate is said to be recuperating in France with husband David, 34, and their sons Brooklyn, ten, Romeo, six, and four-year-old Cruz.

Victoria_Beckham_478069aThis surgery is believed to be the former Spice Girl’s third procedure on her breasts, with the first in 1999 when she had her natural 34A boobs increased to a 34D. In 2001, she was said to have had them increased even further to a 34DD, but publicly she repeatedly denied she had gone under the knife saying in a BBC interview: ‘I’m completely natural.’ But in 2005, she was forced to admit she had lied after court papers revealed she had ‘undergone breast enhancement surgery and had lied about it’. The surgery is just one step the former singer is making to overhaul her image in an apparent effort to be taken seriously in the fashion world.
