Hearts are breaking all over (sorry Amy) since iconic guitarist Eddie Van Halen is off the market. US Weekly has first photo of the happy couple looking fabulous on their big day.
Eddie Van Halen and Janie Liszewski exchanged vows in front of 100 guests (including Valerie Bertinelli, who divorced Eddie, 54, in 2006 after 25 years of marriage) Saturday in Studio City, California. Liszewski, 39, donned a custom Hanna Hartnell gown she co-designed, while the groom and his groomsmen rocked Sy Devore and flip flops.
It was a family affair as Liszewski, a publicist, walked down the aisle with her Pomeranian dog, Kano, and mom to Van Halen’s “When It’s Love,” performed by the Sonus Quartet. Wolfie Van Halen, Eddie’s 18-year-old son, gave Eddie away. Eddie’s brother, Reverend Alex Van Halen, married the couple, who wrote their entire ceremony.
At the non-alcoholic reception, the couple, who have been together for 3 years, toasted with sparkling French apple cider and sparkling pear juice. Guests also snacked on a candy bar that featured 80’s sweets such as Pop Rocks, wax lips, candy necklaces and Lemon Heads. The couple served an interesting flavor for their wedding cake: olive-oil cake with whipped cream and strawberries. The bottom layer was a white chocolate cheesecake.
They had their first dance to Joe Cocker’s “You Are So Beautiful.” They also danced with their family to Cyndi Lauper’s “Time After Time.”
