Rihanna didn’t star in the movie but was the center of attention at the premiere of “Inglourious Basterds” in London last night when she turned up looking like a New Romantic with a hair-raising coif.

She completed her look with her sky high puff / faux-hawk   hovering a good three inches above her forehead. The coif even managed to maintain its shape through the night, which included a late dinner at Cipriani and then a pop-in to the films after party at Shoreditch House.

Rihanna got people talking but it was the film’s star, Diane Kruger, who stole the show in a sexy black strapless Balmain mini-dress with metal chain belt and studded Christian Louboutin heels. The model-turned-actress’s teeny dress showed off her leggy limbs and certainly caught the attention of the film’s director Quentin Tarantino.

But hundreds of die-hard Tarantino fans queued outside the Odeon Leicester Square to see the maverick launch his first film in two years. Joining Quentin and Diane on the red carpet were co-stars Laurence Bender and Christoph Waltz.

Brad plays Aldo the Apache, the leader of the eight-man team, with Austrian actor Christoph playing the sinister Jew Hunter, for which he won the Best Actor award at the Cannes Film Festival in May.
