Mark Wahlberg finally ties the knot after eight years and three children in intimate ceremony
After eight years of dating, Mark Wahlberg has officially added another member to his entourage. Saturday afternoon in Beverly Hills, Wahlberg said “I Do” to his longtime love Rhea Durham. The couple have three children, Ella, 5, Michael, 3, and Brendan, 10 months. The glowing couple appeared relaxed as they shunned a lavish Hollywood wedding in favor of an intimate ceremony with around a dozen guests at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Beverly Hills.

Durham, 31, wore a breathtaking, strapless, flowing gown by Marchesa. The former Victoria’s Secret model empire waist creation had a ruched bodice with crystal trim and silver embroidery paired with Neil Lane diamond jewelry. Wahlberg, 38, donned a traditional black suit and white tie while son, Brendan, wore slacks and a dress shirt while son Michael sported a khaki blazer. Daughter Ella Rae was a flower girl and wore a flowing white princess dress with embroidered flowers.
Wahlberg told Us Weekly last October that he had plans to wed this summer saying: “Catholic church, small, family only, no media!” he said when asked about their plans. Laughing, he added, “And there will be no wedding pictures sold to any magazines!” Shedding his wild, single life and confirming his devotion to family life he said: “I was not prepared to be married … when I was 20 or 30. Committing to making it work and all the other things that go into building a solid foundation is where I’m at now.”
Wahlberg leaped to fame in the early 1990s as a rapper with his band Marky Mark and The Funky Bunch. Then came the iconic Calvin Klein underwear ads with Kate Moss with launched him into the superstar stratosphere. He went on to establish his acting career with a breakout role in “The Basketball Diaries” alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and later secured a place on Hollywood’s A-list after playing porn star Dirk Diggler in “Boogie Nights.” In 2006 he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in “The Departed.” Wahlberg, executive producer of HBO’s ‘Entourage’, will appear later this year in Peter Jackson’s ‘The Lovely Bones.’
The newlyweds started dating in 2001, but split after the birth of Ella in 2003. After reuniting again, the couple welcomed Michael in 2006 and announced their engagement in July last year. The Departed star said: ‘We broke up after Ella was born. We’d been on again, off again for those few years. But we always wanted to make it work, we wanted to be together, we wanted to raise our family together. And it’s been a lot of hard work and counseling, and I think that’s the only way to make it work, to put in the time and effort.’
Heroes’ Ali Larter Ties the Knot!
Heroes star Ali Larter wed actor Hayes MacArthur in an intimate ceremony Saturday at his parents’ estate in Kennebunkport, Maine. Guests of the big day were shuttled to the estate in trolleys to the tune of Irish music, in honor of MacArthur’s shamrock-hued heritage. Larter’s father walked her down the aisle.
Larter, 33, looked simply stunning in a Vera Wang sweetheart neck, A-line gown made of Chantilly lace and accented with a simple veil. She walked down an aisle lined with pink and white flowers and carried a matching bouquet. The groom, 32, wore a Ralph Lauren Black Label peak-lapel tuxedo and Polo Ralph Lauren bow tie.
The two announced they were engaged in December 2007 after five years of dating. “Since I was 15 years old, all I wanted was to find the guy I was going to marry. My heart got broken so many times because I put so much pressure on it. And then .. I got blindsided,” she told February’s Cosmopolitan of MacArthur. She said he “showed me the way, and all was right. This is how it’s supposed to be.”
