It’s true love for “True Blood” co-stars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer. The real-life couple, who play lovers in the hit HBO vampire series are engaged to be married, their reps confirmed.

Paquin, who plays telepathic Sookie Stackhouse on True Blood, is originally from New Zealand and won a 1994 Supporting Actress Oscar for her role as the precocious child in The Piano. Moyer, from Essex, England, plays bloodsucking Bill Compton on the series. He also has two children from previous relationships: a son, Billy, born in 2000, and a daughter, Lilac, born in 2002.

Paquin, 27, will be playing stepmom to Moyer’s two children – 9-year-old Billy and 7-year-old Lilac – from a previous marriage. Now with marriage in their future, fans of the co-stars can expect the chemistry on-screen to continue in the show’s frequent nude scenes. “Obviously, if you’re already with that person then you’re not having to sort of get over the ‘Wow, I’m naked with someone that I don’t even know the middle name of!’” said the actress. As for Moyer, 39, his feelings are mutual: “My girl is hardcore.”

Although the couple claims they started dating this past February, it was reported that it was actually love at first, um, bite when the British hunk aced his Blood audition opposite the Oscar winner in early 2007. But the duo kept their instant attraction a secret from everyone, including his girlfriend of seven years, the mother of his young daughter, Lilac.

That September, Stephen told a British newspaper that his move from London to L.A. for the series had resulted in the end of his relationship with British journalist Lorien Haynes, saying: “Nobody has left anybody for anybody else.” But those words rang hollow when Stephen and Anna admitted that sparks flew the moment they first met! “We tried to stay professional for as long as we could,” Anna later admitted in an interview. “But it was unstoppable!”

No words on wedding plans yet, but you can be sure we’ll be watching this hot duo in the upcoming months as their star-power rises.

STEVEN TYLER FALLS FROM STAGE, AIRLIFTED TO A HOSPITAL

Taking the #1 spot on the Fameball Top 10 is Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler, who was airlifted to a hospital after falling from stage.

Tyler, 61, whose performances often include swaying, dancing and grinding on microphone stands adorned with scarves, was airlifted to a hospital early Thursday after falling from the stage during a concert at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. The Aerosmith front-man fell while entertaining the crowd by dancing around after the sound system failed during the song “Love In an Elevator,” said Mike Sanborn, spokesman for the Buffalo Chip Campground, which hosted the outdoor concert. Ed Aurand, a security supervisor at the campground who saw the fall, said Tyler stepped backward off the stage’s catwalk. “He does a lot of dancing on the stage and he does a lot of stuff with his mike stand. He put his stand down and twirled around and stepped backwards off the stage,” Sanborn said.

Halfway through the performance, Tyler fell onto a couple of fans in the middle of what was a record crowd, Sanborn said. Security rushed to help him and the crowd cheered when Tyler got back up. “He was good natured about it,” Sanborn said. “He was in good spirits when he got in the helicopter. He was talking and joking with the physician. It was an unfortunate end to an extraordinary evening,” he said.

Tyler suffered minor head and neck injuries and a shoulder injury, but it wasn’t immediately clear how serious that was, Sanborn said. After he fell, which was halfway through the performance, Tyler was eventually taken backstage, Sanborn said. Around 12:15 a.m., Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry came out to tell the audience Tyler was being taken to the hospital and that the show would not go on. A physician at the concert venue attended to Tyler and the front man was flown to Rapid City Regional Hospital, the only major hospital in the region, Sanborn said.

Jennifer Horton, the hospital’s vice president of public relations and marketing, said early Thursday that Tyler wasn’t in the hospital directory. Under the privacy laws, that means the person is either not there or chose not to be included in the directory, according to the hospital’s Web site. Fans were disappointed the concert was cut short but hoped Tyler wasn’t seriously hurt.

Tyler’s publicist did not return several calls Thursday seeking comment. Tyler, known for heavy hits such as “Walk This Way” and “Dream On,” attended Sturgis last year to promote his Dirico Motorcycles line and was back this year to do that again and play at Buffalo Chip. He was known for heavy drug and alcohol abuse in the 1970s and early 1980s. Every member of the blues-rock five-piece went to rehab in the mid-1980s, and staged an improbable comeback with the MTV generation.
