Madonna’s video for her latest single “Celebration,” the first single from her latest Greatest Hits album of the same name, is finally out and the end result is something to be excited about.
“Celebration” was directed by Jonas Akerlund, who also did Madonna’s excellent “Ray of Light” video. It was shot in Milan and features the icon alongside the folks dancing in her current “Sticky & Sweet” tour.
You can’t help but bob your head when listing to “Celebration” and the video makes you want to jump up out of your seat and dance. In the video footage, the 51-year-old singer, dressed in a sequined Balmain mini-dress with thigh-high Christian Louboutin boots, is seen provocatively walking up to her 22-year-old boyfriend Jesus Luz in an attempt to seduce him. Yeow!
Madonna shows off her seductive dance moves as she gyrates for the camera against the wall in a fit of sexual frustration. Luz, posing as a shirtless DJ, ends up passionately kissing the Material Girl before the scene cuts to a troupe of dancers including her 12-year-old daughter Lourdes who made her video debut. Lourdes, who is clearly following in her mothers footsteps with her impressive dance routine busts out fluid back-bend in the brief scene.
Madonna is currently in Israel, the final stop on her Sticky and Sweet tour. She was photographed visiting Israel’s holy sites with boyfriend Jesus Luz.
“Celebration” is the first song from Madonna’s new album of the same name, which is a collection of her greatest hits, plus some new material. You can download the ‘Celebration’ video and single for free on iTunes until September 3. Get on it!
