Enter Mr. Big!

Day 1 of filming the “Sex and the City” sequel is providing a much needed fashion fix as a fashionably fresh Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) appeared in a white Halston Heritage dress, sky high Christian Louboutin gold sequined Pigalle heels and a Chanel clutch. Mr. Big (Chris Noth) finally made an appearance later in the day to film a few scenes with his on-screen wife. The first day of filming brought THREE costume changes by Sarah Jessica Parker and as usual the look was fashionable, chic and right on target.

Fashion has always been a focus of the SATC TV series and movie. Regarded as the fifth character in the franchise, Carrie’s looks often range from high-end couture (remember that flowing Alexander McQueen dress in Paris) to vintage to bizarre. The big shocker seems to be the shoes since Carrie appears to have ditched her beloved Manolo Blahnik’s in favor of yet another pair of Christian Louboutin heels.

Parker’s second stylish look of the day featured a purple and silver shimmering pleated dress paired with yet another pair of Christian Louboutin heels (this time the Gino T-Strap pumps) and a hot pink Christian Louboutin Sylvia Drapey Hobo bag. Remember those fabulous blue Manolo Blahniks that were the focus of the first movie? Are those a thing of the past?

Her third look was downright hilarious. Filming a flashback scene, which features Carrie Bradshaw as a twenty-something moving to New York City, SJP stepped back into the Eighties wearing a totally tubular outfit that included huge permed hair (we were all guilty of this), an off the shoulder sweatshirt, white stretchy jeans and (gasp) Converse sneakers. Carrie Bradshaw in flats, what is this world coming to?
