The Sex and the City girls have reunited and the fabulous four is back

Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie Bradshaw), Cynthia Nixon (Miranda Hobbes), Kim Cattrall (Samantha Jones) and Kristin Davis (Charlotte York) were photographed together for the first time on the NYC set on Tuesday.

Parker was photographed on the set last week shooting scenes alone as well as with on-screen hubbie Chris Noth (Mr. Big). As can be expected with the stylish Carrie Bradshaw, we were treated to array of gorgeous looks including a white Halston Heritage dress, Chanel clutch, and 2 pairs of Christian Louboutin stilettos. Later, she filmed in what is believed to be a flashback scene since she rocked a huge perm of curly hair, off the shoulder sweatshirt and stretchy jeans.

I-NEARLY-DROPPED-DEAD when I saw photo’s of Sarah Jessica Parker wearing her Christian Dior Fall 2000 newspaper print dress on set this weekend. Considering that fashionistas are re-wearing fabulous frocks during these turbulent times, having Carrie resurrect such a statement dress was the ultimate in shopping your closet. As you’ll recall, Carrie first wore the dress in Season 3 during her lunch meeting with Natasha, Mr. Big’s wife. The backless black and white Christian Dior newspaper print dress hugs every curve and was paired with a pair of sparkling Christian Louboutin Bridget Strass booties.  Last time the dress was paired with her gold “Carrie” nameplate necklace and a pair of her beloved Blahniks.

Today, Kim Cattrall finally hit the set as our favorite man-eater Samantha Jones. Looking fierce, the diva filmed scenes in a little black dress with cut-out side sections. Providing a dose of New York City attitude, Cattrall was filmed giving a cabbie the middle finger. Classic!

Also on set were co-stars Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis. In one scene Cattrall embraced the ladies after a mad dash across the road. She has said of her characters new-found freedom: ‘The movie was so much fun to do and be part of again. Samantha single is more fun than you can ever imagine.’ Meanwhile, Nixon embraced motherhood and filmed scenes with on-screen son Brady played by Joseph Pupo.

New Yorkers themselves have been providing as much drama off-screen as we’ll see on-screen ever since the iconic movie started filming last week on the streets of the upper East Side to. Hordes of fans have been bombarding the set over excitement for the latest installment of their favorite fashion series. Security has been tight to avoid another RPatz-like situation when Robert Pattinson was clipped by a cab while trying to break free from a mob of fans while filming downtown.

“They looked more like they were protecting the President than Sarah Jessica Parker,” said an onlooker at 84th St. and Park Ave., where the leggy leading lady was repeatedly being filmed hailing a cab. “At one point, teenage girls were practically trampling each other trying to get to Sarah Jessica as she was walking back to her trailer, but her security team was shoving everyone out of the way.” Star Cynthia Nixon had to be rerouted to her trailer after crowds began aggressively approaching her. “People were screaming and trying to push past guards,” a source said.  Onlookers were then told that she wouldn’t be filming her scene after all. “The fans were just too much,” continued the snitch. “Security looked legitimately concerned for her safety.”

Oscar-nominated stylist Patricia Field is at the helm of the fashion reigns again for the latest installment of the movie franchise. The stylist also works on TV show “Ugly Betty.”
