George Clooney arrived in posh style to the Venice Film Festival onboard a speed boat last night. On his arm was 30-year-old Italian TV presenter Elisabetta Canalis, who has spent the last 2 months with Clooney at his Lake Como home all summer.

Elisabetta is a popular pin-up and TV host in her native Italy and became the host of MTV Italy’s Total Request Live show in May.

George will have plenty of opportunities to spend time with his lady love since he will film his new movie “A Private Gentleman in Italy” over the next few months.

Clooney is at the festival to promote his new film “Men Who Stare At Goats.”

True Blood Stars Hooking Up?

Rumor has it that the stars of HBO mega-hit series “True Blood” Evan Rachel Wood and Alexander Skarsgard are dating after first meeting on the set. Evan, 22, reportedly flew to Shreveport, Louisiana this weekend to visit Alexander, 33, on the set of his new movie, Straw Dogs.

Hot Swedish actor Skarsgard plays the Viking vampire Eric on “True Blood” and has starred in HBO series “Generation Kill” as well as Lady GaGa’s recent “Paparazzi” video.

Evan made her debut on True Blood as Louisiana’s vampire queen Sophie-Anne in last week’s episode. The final much-anticipated episode in the second season will air on HBO this Sunday. In an interview Evan said that she was “Team Alex” in the epic battle for lead Sookie Stackhouse’s affections between vampire Bill and vampire Eric. She quickly corrected herself, saying she was team “Eric, whoops.”
