Dressed in nude stockings with exposed garters, a sexy zebra print trench and huge sunglasses while lounging on a diving board, Victoria Beckham (aka Posh Spice) exudes Hollywood glamour on the cover of Elle Magazine, October 2009.
The 35-year-old former Spice Girl goes from futuristic to Audrey Hepburn chic in her photo shoot for magazine profile and opens up about her new life in Los Angeles. The alternate cover shot shows Beckham in a futuristic grey and yellow strapless dress and carrying a Chanel silver box clutch. This is the same clutch seen on Sarah Jessica Parker while filming “Sex and the City 2” last week.
Beckham revealed that even though she’s married to one of the sexiest men alive, she is insecure and shy saying, ‘I do have my insecurities. Maybe that is why I look a little bit serious. The kind of person who’s going to stand on the red carpet and love the attention and have the big grin – I’m just not like that. I want to get in there, do what I’ve got to do, and get home to my kids.’
The mother-of-three even spoke about her handsome husband of 10 years: ‘David and I have a working relationship together, and we also have a private life together. Someone used the example recently of Brad and Angelina. They might be in a movie together, but that doesn’t mean they’re going to let someone film them at home. I don’t do ‘at homes’ with my family. I don’t march my kids down red carpets. It’s just not how we choose to do things.’
And even though Victoria Beckham has become a Hollywood staple, don’t expect to see her dressing down in California casual attire such as jeans and Uggs. “I find it odd that people will go to a nice restaurant or to [the] theater in jeans and T-shirts. You know, it’s great, David loves it. But it’s very different to my personal style.” She went on to say about her personal style: “There are celebrities who always look great, always look pretty, but it’s always the same hair, the same makeup, and I find that quite boring. I want to change it up, do something really creative. I think that might be why women like me.”
Women obviously like Victoria’s style (I know I do) since stores can barely keep up with the demand for her sharply tailored yet feminine dresses. And with prices in the four-digits for one of her sexy frocks Beckham said she’s just like everyone else when it comes to investing in fashion: “Would I think twice about buying a dress that costs $2,000? Yeah! Of course I would. I’d try it on and go home and think about it before I bought it.”
