Lady GaGa is clearly Gaga after she clocked in at a record number SIX outfit changes at the MTV Video Music Awards last night.

Outrageous singer Lady GaGa’s eccentric choice of attire is what she is known for, but some of her ensembles last night were downright scary (red lace mask anyone?).

The ‘Pokerface’ singer arrived at the show in a black lace Jean Paul Gaultier dress with Dragon print silk underlay. She accessorized the unique look with a Keko Hainswheeler neck brace and Kiko jewelry. Aside from the neckbrace, I actually liked this outfit. “I’m just happy to be here, and I’m excited for everyone to win,” said the singer, who walked the carpet with Kermit the Frog. The Muppet’s take on Lady Gaga’s over-the-top look? “I’m just happy that it’s not made out of someone I know,” he said on MTV’s pre-show.

This was the only time Gaga would appear in something remotely wearable as her choice of attire grew more shocking by the second.

Stepping onstage to accept her award from rapper Eminem she sported a scary blood red lace mini dress with matching mask and headdress. Thankfully she removed the mask when accepting her award in order to be heard when she gave thanks to ‘God and her gays’.

Later she took to the stage for a performance complete with pink and white hair, a blood-spattered vest, white knee-high boots, an asymmetrical lace belly-baring top and white panties with her stockings hanging out.

After her performance, Lady Gaga was seen in the audience wearing what looked like a white lion head wreath made of feathers paired with a white wedding dress style sheath. She was later photographed at an after-party in a wedding-style headdress and white sheer dress.

It’s been an astonishing year for the new artist who has garnered column inches mainly for her fashion choices in addition to her raunchy pop music.
