Fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier is rumored to be next in line to design a collection for Target. Sources tell WWD the collection is a long way off, but the discount retailer “has the ball in motion.” Gaultier’s people declined to comment, though Target’s people said, “We don’t have anything to share other than we admire his work and incredible design aesthetic.”
Cone bra’s for the masses?
Jean Paul Gaultier is known for his risqué collaborations, particularly with Madonna. He produced sculptured costumes for the Material Girl during the nineties and created the infamous cone-shaped bra her 1990 Blonde Ambition tour. In addition, he designed the wardrobe for her Confessions Tour in 2006.

In 1999, Hermès bought 35 percent of the Jean Paul Gaultier company and in 2004 Hermès hired him as head womenswear designer for the label.
