It was a battle of the scantily clad, bottle blond divas on “Saturday Night Live,” when Madonna and the show’s musical guest, Lady Gaga, faced off in a name-calling, hair-pulling brawl that led to the pair eventually kissing and making up.
During the show’s “Deep House Dish” sketch, about a fake MTV talk show, the pop stars appeared as musical guests wearing matching leather lingerie, thigh-high boots and blond ‘dos. Mid-performance the Material Girl reached over and grabbed a chunk of the Gaga’s long blond locks cueing the catfight.
“Hey, guess what Madonna? I’m totally hotter than you!” quipped Gaga.
Madge responded, “What kind of name is Lady Gaga? It sounds like baby food.”
“The kind that’s No. 1 on the Billboard charts,” Gaga fired back before lunging at the pop icon.
“What the hell is a disco stick?” shouted Madonna, as a reference to Gaga’s hit song.

The two divas continued to push and shove each other until cast member Kenan Thompson instructed the woman to sit beside him on the couch. When Thompson instructed the rivals to kiss and make up, the two leaned in closely for some girl-on-girl action, but ended up planting one on the late night comedian who stuck his face between the two women.
GaGa, real name Stefani Germanotta, has previously compared herself to the Material Girl, saying, “We’re both Italian-American women, we both started out in the New York underground scene — and we both became famous when we dyed our hair blonde. I think what Madonna and I share is that we’re both fearless, we both have a lot of nerve.”
Madonna’s made no secret of the fact she’s a fan of Lady GaGa’s after she and daughter Lourdes were spotted at her show in New York with daughter Lourdes.
