Mary Kate Olsen made an appearance at Paris Fashion Week on Monday for the Giambattista Valli Spring/Summer 2010 runway presentation. Accompanied by boyfriend Nate Lowman, the former “Full House” star sported a beige leather fringe jacket paired with a black lace skirt and Giambattista Valli platforms. Also in attendance at the phenomenal show were international “It” girls Tatiana Santo Domingo, Margherita Missoni and Eugenie Niarchos.
Stylish jetsetter Lapo Elkann previewed the limited-edition collection of sunglasses he has been working on with Giambattista Valli. His girlfriend Bianca Brandolini D’Adda was also in attendance to cheer him on.
I give the collection three F’s: fabulous, flirty, feminine. Focused on all things girlie, Valli presented a collection in an array of refreshing sorbet shades full of ruffles, dense fringe, short hemlines and feathers galore.
A common silhouette, a 20’s inspired drop-waist minidress, gave the garments a youthful appeal while still maintaining elegance.

Style bibles felt the collection appeared youthful, with Giambattista Valli catering to the twenty-something jet-setters seated in his front-row. While the flouncy frills of some dresses could be considered not age appropriate for anyone over 35-years-old, there was plenty to get excited about with his highly embellished dresses that cater to fashionistas of all ages.
Tailored dresses with matching coatdresses appeal to fashion lovers of all ages and his love of feathers, which decorated collars, skirts, etc, is something that should be embraced by all.
