Were you one of the one’s who watched the Louis Vuitton Spring / Summer 2010 runway presentation stream live through Facebook this morning? Considering I have never been to Paris, let alone a Louis Vuitton fashion show, it was an exciting to watch but I am sure that’s nothing compared to the mega-watt energy of experiencing it live.

On the final day of Paris Fashion Week, the stars were out in full force for the Louis Vuitton Ready-to-Wear show at Cour Carree du Louvre on Wednesday.

Joining fashion industry heavyweights, Louis Vuitton’s celeb-heavy front row featured Catherine Deneuve, Freida Pinto, Leighton Meester, Katy Perry (holding a divine LV signature clutch in gold satin), Camilla Belle, Sophie Dahl, Michelle Yeoh, Zoe Saldana, and Daisy Lowe.

At first glance the must-have signature accessory is obvious: fluffy afro wigs in an array of colors. Last season Louis Vuitton sent models down the catwalk in bunny ears and this season it’s the afro. All kidding aside, Marc Jacobs always has a way of infusing humor into his collections, showing the clothes in a way that they aren’t taken too seriously (but at this price point, I am dead serious when contemplating a purchase).

“Street clothes, embracing the hippie-cyber, tribal-punk world,” he said, after a parade of 55 models hit the runway clad in everything from glitter-anoraks, fringed shirts and satin corsets to jewel-encrusted, denim hot-pants over lace-up leggings.

When it came to accessories, Jacobs sent out fringed moccasins with peg heels, colorful sheepskin boots, penny loafers and boots with feather trims. In the handbag department, there were Louis Vuitton signature duffle-bags and saddle-bags trimmed with tassels as well as loosely slung backpacks.

Jacobs, once known for starting shows up to two hours late, started his show started on the dot, leaving several members of the audience scrambling for seats as the first model hit the catwalk, and latecomers cooling their high heels outside the doors.

1_louis_reuters_1497486iIn other Marc Jacobs news, the fashion designer put to rest rumors that he is set to star in the Fuse networks gay version of the “Real Housewives” reality series ‘Kept.”

“It’s totally false,” said a spokesperson for the Viacom-owned cable network, which is also what Jacobs’ publicity team said when we asked if the designer had plans to appear on the show. “It’s been causing a lot of confusion,” a spokeswoman for Jacobs said. “Marc and Lorenzo haven’t been approached about it as far as I know.”
