After four sizzling seasons filled with ripped abs and toned “assets,” David Beckham has decided not to renew his contract with Emporio Armani Men’s Underwear. But don’t fret because Armani has selected another super-sexy international soccer sensation as the new face for the brand: Cristiano Ronaldo!

For those of you who don’t know him, the countless pictures of Ronaldo shirtless speak for themselves. Don’t you love soccer? It’s one of the rare sports where players often rip their shirts off exposing toned physiques. Holy hotness!

Giorgio Armani announced that the player for Spanish club Real Madrid and the national Portuguese team will be the “new official worldwide testimonial” for Emporio Armani Men’s Underwear and Armani Jeans starting from Spring/Summer 2010. Ronaldo currently holds the distinction of being the most expensive player in football history after having transferred to Real Madrid in a deal worth $132million. His contract with Real Madrid is believed to have made him the highest-paid player in the world.

I cannot wait to see the new ads!

Meanwhile, David Beckham and his representatives are said to be in talks with several companies about developing a Beckham-branded men’s underwear line, according to WWD. With Beckham in the Emporio Armani Underwear ads, the brand’s sales more than doubled last year to over $30 million, sources said.
