I’ll admit, I am biased since Philip Treacy is a Hat God in my mind. His over-the-top masterpieces grace the heads of royalty and celebrities alike. Now, Treacy is trying his hand at footwear with a collection of shoes that debuted at Valentino’s Spring / Summer 2010 show during Paris Fashion Week.

Milliner Philip Treacy’s first shoe project ever debuted at the Valentino show during Paris Fashion Week. Treacy said of the collection, “I am usually working on the head and then to move to the foot is a whole other dimension. You can’t have the same fragility, because models walk like racehorses and kick them together. And then something very delicate is in tatters — but actually, it looks quite good in tatters!
Backstage at the Valentino show, onlookers swarmed around Philip Treacy to congratulate him on the outstanding designs that topped off the elegant Valentino designs. The mostly black shoes with a hint of cream, combined Treacy’s unique opulence into a phenomenal collection. The end result was wearable art for your perfectly pedicured toes.

Elaborately embroidered netting cascaded down the heels like wings causing a feast for the eyes. Black heels with delicate netting curved around the foot like a wisp of smoke. The wispy footwear was truly spectacular and based off the first collection, I cannot wait to see more footwear from the famed hat maker.
The fabulous footwear wasn’t just for show and will available to purchase. Start the wait list now!
