I just DIED and went to handbag heaven. Finally, a bag that is neither basic black or boring brown, but adds a pop of color and versatile enough to wear everyday. YSL took my favorite, go-to carry all and made it in a radiant color. I predict a wait list.

Yves Saint Laurent’s Muse Handbag is a staple in any handbag wardrobe with it’s classic shape and streamlined style. A favorite of Hollywood’s A-List the bag has been seen on the arm of Madonna, Jessica Alba, Kate Moss, Siena Miller, Heidi Klum, Jennifer Aniston and the list goes on and on. I have a Muse bag in the large size in a shiny cream leather that I literally live in during the warm weather months. I’ve been in the market for a richer color for fall, but all I’ve see were variations of black and brown, which already overflow from my wardrobe. Then I spotted this bag on the Saks Fifth Avenue website in Topaz and it was as if my prayers had been answered.

YSL really hit it out of the park with this one because the topaz color of this Muse bag is so rich and elegant, yet it adds the perfect hint color. A longtime fan of yellow everything, this shade of marigold is more mustard brown than yellow, making it an all-weather bag that is neutral enough to mix in with your wardrobe. Pair it with black, cream, and black, even blue for a pocketbook pick-me-up.

The bag is currently available through pre-order at Saks Fifth Avenue for $1,595. Saks went as far as to post a note that “due to high demand a customer may order no more than three units of this item every thirty days.” One is sufficient for me. And with my upcoming trip to Paris just weeks away, I have a pretty good idea what I’ll be buying when I hit the City of Light.
