I am truly in awe of Ivanka Trump and her elegant wedding photo’s reflect her grace and poise. The timeless wedding gown worn by the bride was custom made by Vera Wang, who said the design of Ivanka’s dress was taken from Grace Kelly‘s gown that she wore when she wed Prince Rainier III in 1956.

“For Ivanka’s wedding, she very definitely wanted to be covered,” Wang said of the bride’s dress request. “It hearkened back to another time which is incredibly romantic.”

The dress was extremely intricate, with three different tiers of hand-appliquéd lace that were different shades of ivory. “Ivanka is very hands on in her life. … She was quite precise on what she wished to convey,” Wang said.

InStyle Magazine got the scoop on the wedding details of the lavish affair, which was held at Donald Trump’s Golf Club in NJ.

The Wedding

Following their 3-month engagement, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner tied the knot on Sunday October 25, 2009 at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J. Before her nuptials, the bride tweeted, ” “Everything is simply perfect! I’m getting married today!” The bride looking luminous in a custom lace Vera Wang gown and jewels from her own collection. The groom looked dashing in a Brioni one-button peak lapel tuxedo.

Of the 500 guests, Russell Crowe, Natalie Portman, Anna Wintour, Andrew Cuomo, Barbara Walters and New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani all attended the ceremony. Her bridesmaids wore Carolina Herrera and received custom Swarovski crystal “Ivanka and Jared” Havaianas!

The Gown

Trump wore a custom designed Vera Wang gown inspired by Grace Kelly for her walk down the aisle. She accessorized her big day look with jewels from her eponymous jewelry line and carried an all-white bouquet, which featured stephanotis.

The Reception

After the “I Dos,” the newlyweds celebrated with 500 guests at the wedding reception. Preston Bailey, who also planned Donald Trump and Melania Knauss’ 2007 wedding, helped Trump and Kushner pull off their fall affair.

The Love Story

Back in the summer of 2009 before the couple announced their engagement, Trump told New York magazine, “Jared and I are very similar in that we’re very ambitious. That’s what makes it so amazing to be in a relationship with someone who is supportive of that.”

Second Wedding Reception to be Held this week

If you weren’t one of the 500 people who attended the Trump – Kushner nuptials on Sunday at the Trump National Golf Course then maybe you can score an invite to their second wedding reception, which will be held this week.

On Wednesday the couple will hold a second reception for twice as many guests at the Puck Building. No word on if the bride will make an appearance in her wedding gown again or reveal completely new wedding attire. Stay tuned
