Anthropologie is known for offering an interesting and well edited selection of apparel and accessories by up-and coming designers with a unique design ascetic. It’s one of the mass retail stores where you can purchase an exceptionally outstanding piece at an affordable price point. And as soon as I saw this waistcoat in their fall catalog I couldn’t help but scream, “Anglomania!”

Vivienne Westwood's Anglomania Atlantis Vest

Anthropologie’s Polaire vest channels the style of Vivienne Westwood’s Anglomania Atlantis top, but in a warm plaid. Of course, the cut will not be the same as Ms. Westwood’s iconic vest, but if you cannot afford her $400+ price tag, then this is an affordable option at $118.
I purchased my Vivienne Westwood Anglomania Atlantis top while on vacation in Martha’s Vineyard this past summer. With a $400 price tag I hesitated, but once I tried it on my friend and fellow style savvy shopper, Sharon, insisted I purchase the top. The Atlantis top made its debut at New York Fashion Week in September, where it stood out among the legions of fashionistas. With a nipped waist and deliciously draped sweetheart neckline, it enhances your “assets” which strategically drawing attention away from your tummy.
The secret is the corset-style bodice, which draws the eye to your movie star tiny waist and flows into a handkerchief front bottom hem. The curved and flared back bottom hem just adds to the fabulousness of the vest.
Divine debauchery!
