How is it possible that reality star Heidi Montag–Pratt is amassing a Hermes handbag collection large enough to rival Victoria Beckham?

Victoria Beckham reigns supreme as the Hermes Handbag Queen with a 100-strong Birkin collection worth over $2 million, but it seems that every time Heidi Montag-Pratt steps out these days she has another candy color Birkin or Kelly on her arm. Do reality TV shows really pay that much? Bag, Borrow or Steal?

I always assumed Heidi’s bags were borrowed since it’s rare to find an established star with 2 or 3 Hermes bags, let alone seven. But then while sitting next to a Conde Nast Associate on a plane ride home Denver did I find out she earns $100,000 per episode on “The Hills.”

Montag-Pratt’s collection isn’t as large as Beckham’s, but it does appear to be growing. She has been spotted out with seven Hermes bags which include Kelly bags (tan, aqua blue), Birkin bags (blue denim, lime green, white, black) and a blue Hermes So Kelly Shoulder bag.

Where Posh and Heidi differ is Posh carries super-luxe Hermes Birkin and Kelly bags in materials such as pink ostrich and glossy black crocodile in addition to the rare ‘Silver Himalayan’ style. The Himalayan bag, which she received as a Christmas present from husband David, retails for $120,000 and comes complete with three-carat diamond. All hail the Queen!
