Yesterday it was “Gossip Girl” Queen Bee Leighton Meester, and today Thandie Newton is the latest star to blow up the red carpet wearing a fabulous creation by New York designer Prabal Gurung. Stars have fallen for Prabal Gurung!

Thandie Newton is so poised and beautiful that it’s hard to not make her look fabulous, but the dress she wore to the premiere of her latest movie, “2012,” actually accentuated her figure while enhancing her beauty.

Looking absolutely stunning in a black and white Prabal Gurung strapless brush painted rose silk twill gazar hand draped dress with bow detail (I love those bows!), Newton radiated the red carpet.

Newton opted for black stilettos and simple jewelry so nothing would compete with the elegant look of the dress. Perfection!

Also in attendance was Camilla Belle, who shook things up wearing in an avant-garde design by Alexander McQueen. The diamante-embroidered Alexander McQueen dress had an hourglass silhouette featuring a full, bustled skirt and exaggerated, beaded shoulders. She paired the outrageous dress with an Alexander McQueen skull clutch and ivory platform heels.

Hollywood has Prabal Gurung fever!

First Demi Moore showed the love by wearing three of his designs and now Leighton Meester and Thandie Newton have both followed in her fashionable footsteps. Meester shined in Gurung’s lavender brush-painted dress with a beautiful floral corsage neck at a benefit in N.Y.C. and Newton wore his black and white strapless dress adorned with a perfectly demure bow for the L.A. premiere of 2012.

I knew it was just a matter of time before more A-Listers succumbed to the maestro’s brilliant designs. I fell in love at first sight last February when Prabal showed his first collection at New York Fashion Week and have been a fan ever since. I cannot wait to see what he has in store for us next.
