Just last night I wrote about the stunning images of Demi Moore from the December issue of W magazine and how one would never image the gorgeous actress has 25-years of industry experience with her flawless face and perfectly sculpted body. Dressed to kill in a beaded, cut-out loin-cloth draped dress by Balmain, she rocked a mini-dress worn by a runway model half her age only week earlier during Paris Fashion Week. Apparently I didn’t look close enough because it appears that a chunk of her thigh was airbrushed out of the photo. Of course we have become used to a bit of airbrushing, but they appeared to have chopped her in half.
Looking at the image up close it appears an over-enthusiastic Photoshopper removed a chunk of Demi‘s thigh, between her hip bone and a casually draped sarong. You’ll notice that underneath the sarong her thigh continues, but appears to be bulging out an inch more than the photoshopped area. Overall a section of thigh between the folds of green material appears to have a chunk of flesh missing and after the Ralph Lauren re-touching scandal, which resulted in the designer offering an apology for the dramatic oversight, Demi’s cover has been the subject of hot discussion on the internet.
According to Jezebel.com, W magazine claimed any retouching was done in-house by the staff of photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. And a spokesperson added the photographers ‘did not do anything unusual or out of the ordinary on Demi Moore for the photo on the cover of W. ‘Demi is an extraordinary beautiful woman and we feel our cover reflects that.’
