Eugenia Kim is one of my absolute favorite hat designers and over the years I have amassed a collection of her heavenly hats. She is responsible for the “Muffy,” an equestrian-like cap that became a wait-listed item and was worn by Ashlee Simpson, Keira Knightley and other starlets. So imagine my excitement when I found out that Eugenia Kim is next in line to collaborate with Target on a hat collection. Joining her will be Cynthia Vincent, who will develop a shoe line for the mass marketer.

Target announced that it will be working with the super-stylish designers for two accessories collections launching in April 2010.

Cynthia Vincent Kala Boot

Cynthia Vincent has been named the next in line to design a line of affordable footwear for the mass retailer (the fifth footwear collaboration for Target) and if her fall collection is any indication, then we are in for a real treat.

Cynthia Vincent’s Kala boot was selected by uber-stylist Rachel Zoe as one of her favorite picks for fall on Piperlime.com thanks to it’s cutout detail and lace-up front. The Kala boot (which is also available in black) retails for $325.

My personal favorite pick by Cynthia Vincent for fall is the Denise black leather bootie with open toe and dramatic features lace-up detailing on the side and front (I am a sucker for lace up details on shoes).

Aside from being ferociously fabulous, they are also affordable. The Denise leather bootie retails for $235.

Hat designer Eugenia Kim, who will develop the first hat collaboration for Target, has outfitted numerous celebrities with her fun and fabulous toppers, and has become a fixture with stylista’s. Kim’s hats, which include fedoras, knits, Muffy caps and berets, start at around $150 with most hats upwards of $200 so I cannot wait to see what she offers up in terms of fabrics and textures.

Just another example of how high-end designer collaborations are becoming the coup-du-jour, allowing high-end fashion for the masses.

The Eugenia Kim for Target collection is slated to hit Target from April 18 through June 20, 2010. The Cynthia Vincent for Target collection will be available at Target stores nationwide from April 18 through July 1, 2010.
