Viva la Outlets!

I am addicted to outlet shopping, particularly the Woodbury Commons Premium Outlets in New York. Spending hours on end hunting for great deals is how I do my cardio and last week I hit the outlets pre-Thanksgiving to take advantage of the holiday sales. I walked away with not one, but two pairs of gorgeous Oscar de la Renta flats for $120. SCORE!

Holiday sales at Woodbury Commons are a major event, but what few know is that the stores begin their sales a few days prior to the actual event, which is ideal for securing the best selection and avoiding crowds. Last week, most stores had started their sales on Tuesday, so I took advantage to browse at the shops to see what they had in store for Black Friday.

I must admit Oscar de la Renta’s shoes are a major weakness of mine. The perfect mix of sophistication and sexiness, I own 25 pairs (and counting) of Oscar’s shoes. While all of my de la Renta shoes are stilettos, I was in desperate need for a comfortable yet stylish pair of flats. I looked no further than the Oscar de la Renta outlet store, which was offering 50-70% off retail prices. I snatched up a pair of Gold Tweed Flats for $60 (regular $495) and Caramel Python Embossed Flats for $60 (regular $495). My motto has always been “Fashion is Pain,” but as my feet tire of sky-high stilettos, I can now slip on these fashionable alternatives and still look fierce.
