As I sat in front of my television this morning watching ‘The Today Show’ interview Tiger Woods’ alleged mistress Cori Rist, I found myself screaming at the TV. As tears began to stream down her face over how much pain and embarrassment this scandal has caused her young son and family I yelled out loud, “Fame Whore! Nobody forced you to speak up about the affair, your chose this. Deal with it!” My husband woke up confused. “Why are you screaming at the TV?” he asked, rubbing the sleepiness out of his eyes. Why was I yelling, I thought?
We are now in the process of experiencing Tiger Woods overload. I am sick of the alleged mistresses coming forward proclaiming their sadness over the pain they caused Elin Nordegren Woods. The nerve of these women! The only one to not have spoken publicly about a relationship with Woods is Rachel Uchitel, the classiest of them all. It seems like an endless stream of women who crawl out of holes and elbow their way in front of any camera crew who will listen as they detail sex in church parking lots and dirty text messages. I wouldn’t even want that out there if the guy I was seeing wasn’t famous, so why would you gladly reveal intimate (and embarrassing) details of your life to the world. Two words: fame whores!
Cori Rist, one in the long line of woman claiming to have an affair with Tiger Woods, broke her silence about her alleged two-and-a-half-year fling with the golfer on the Today show. She broke down when she told Natalie Morales how the published reports about her have affected her son and her family. She brushed away tears as she said her son has had to hear “horrible things” about his mother. “He has to suffer a lot of consequences from this,” Rist told Morales. “I’ve had to explain to him the mistakes I’ve made. It’s been tough — on my family as well.” CRY ME A RIVER!
She confirmed that she met Woods at a New York City nightclub in 2006 when a man claiming to be the golfer’s trainer invited her and her friends to join Woods for a drink. “He was not afraid to show his affection in front of everybody that was there,” said Rist, 31. “He was very affectionate, and he led me by the hand, and we just kind of disappeared, and that was the start.” For the next six months, she said, she and Woods had regular trysts in New York, sometimes at private residences, sometimes at hotels. “It was a long-distance relationship,” Rist told TODAY’s Natalie Morales. “Sometimes once a month, sometimes twice, sometimes not at all.”
Rist, who said she is speaking out now because she needs to defend herself against false rumors that she is a prostitute, said she thought she was “special” and the only other woman in Woods’ life. And though she said she knew he was married, Rist said Woods always told her his marriage to his wife was on the rocks.
Cori Rist then choked up and said she had come to feel remorse for the suffering she caused Woods’ wife, Elin Nordegren, who was photographed over the weekend without her wedding ring. “I am just sorry for her pain. I hate that I am a part of it,” she said. “I feel like I have to take responsibility for the things I’ve done and one day I am going to have to look my son in the eye and explain all of this.”
The former model, who says she’s now a stay-at-home single mom for her 7-year-old son, claims SHE broke it off with Tiger after seeing a picture of Woods, his wife, Elin, and their new daughter, Sam, and realized what she was doing. “We were pretty much involved in a relationship, and then I decided that I didn’t want to be part of it anymore, and I broke things off with him six months later after I met him,” Rist said.
Rist brings the total number of women linked to the world’s most famous golfer to more than a dozen.

Taylor Lautner on ‘SNL’: Defends Taylor Swift, Kicks Kanye West’s Ass

Taylor Lautner had his chance to prove to Hollywood that he can play more than just a boy-turned-werewolf during his turn as host of “Saturday Night Live.”
The 17-year-old actor kicked off his hosting duties on last night’s episode by fueling the gossip mill that he is dating country cutie Taylor Swift. “There’s a lot of rumors out there about me being romantically linked to a certain country singer … Reba and I are just friends,” Lautner joked as the camera panned to cast member Kenan Thompson dressed as singer Reba McEntire. “I’ve also become close with a singer named Taylor Swift.”
Lautner addressed the year’s most controversial feud involving his current rumored girlfriend and Kanye West at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards. “I was actually at the VMA’s the night [Taylor] won the award for best video and Kanye West interrupted her speech,” he said. “I was actually up on stage with her when that happened and as you can see I really stood up for her.”
A clip of the infamous VMA incident played, showing the “New Moon” actor cautiously standing at a distance from the showdown. “I guess I could have done a lot more,” he said, before shedding his leather jacket to demonstrate what he really wanted to do during the uncomfortable moment.
Two mannequins dressed as Kanye West and Taylor Swift were brought on stage as Lautner displayed some of the agility he brandished in “New Moon” – thanks to his many years of karate training – by launching into a series of back flips, kicks and punches.
“You messed with the wrong Taylors,” the actor said before knocking off faux-Kanye’s head.
But before breaking the hearts of his many female admirers by planting a kiss on the Taylor Swift mannequin, Lautner stopped himself. “I’m sorry, I can’t. My heart belongs to someone else,” he said while looking as Thompson dressed in drag. “Hey Reba,” Lautner flirtatiously said before blowing a kiss and winking at Thompson, an exact move Swift jokingly addressed to Lautner during her own “SNL” monologue last month.
