Jennifer Lopez ignored the diva rule of never wearing the same outfit twice when she slipped into the skin-tight catsuit she wore during her live New Years Eve performance for a pre-Super Bowl performance in Miami this weekend.

Despite a mixed response to the outfit worn for her New Year’s Eve performance on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, Jennifer Lopez slipped into the most talked about outfit of 2010: a skin-tight, crystal-studded catsuit, made by costumer designer Paula Bradley paired with matching diamanté studded Christian Louboutin ankle boots.

Lopez wore the infamous glittery catsuit – which was see-through under the stage lights – for a private one-night-only, pre-Super Bowl performance at the Axe Lounge at LIV nightclub.

While I am usually impressed with Jennifer’s fashion sense and the Christian Louboutin studded booties were killer. But I didn’t like this outfit the first time and I am stunned she chose to wear it again.

Among the celebrities in attendance were Jessica Alba, Gossip Girl heart-throb Chace Crawford and reality stars Stephanie Pratt, Audrina Patridge, Kristin Cavallari and Lauren Bosworth, who were filming an episode of The Hills at the club.

To close out the decade, the Bronx-born star put the goods on display for 750,000 revelers who braved the cold and rain to watch her perform in addition to the millions who tuned in on television. This time around she left home the horrendous shaggy black coat she donned when she first hit the stage on December 31.

After her performance, she told host Ryan Seacrest: ‘This is my first time ever coming down here. It’s just so much good, hopeful, amazing, loving energy!’ Seacrest, who was presenting Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, couldn’t hide his admiration for J.Lo’s costume. He grinned: ‘That outfit has made my year!’

The singer and husband Marc Anthony are part-owners of local team Miami Dolphins, who didn’t make the Super Bowl this year. Earlier on Saturday, Lopez participated in a celebrity American football game on Miami beach where she called the coin toss to see which team would kick off the game.

Lopez watched celebrities such as Taylor Lautner, Ed Westwick, Kellan Lutz and Victoria’s Secret model Marisa Miller play in the sand.
