Let’s face it, anyone who saw the youthful images of Madonna from the Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 campaign knew we were witnessing photo-shop overload.

Madonna looked eternally youthful and ethereal as she reclined in a blue armchair wearing a taffeta dress and pink bunny ears – similar to the headwear she wore to the Costume Institute Gala.

I fall under the reign of her “Madgesty” and knew the images were retouched, but appreciated seeing the Material Girl in all her luminescent, bunny eared glory.

Now, Sassybella has published the actual pre photo-shop image of Madonna, revealing just how much the image was drastically edited.

The Louis Vuitton images featured Madonna’s Met Gala look – short dress, thigh high boots, fingerless gloves, bunny ears – in five different variations and colors with a stunning Louis Vuitton handbag to complement each look.

Madonna’s never been one to embrace the natural aging process and at 50+ years old her rigorous skincare routine keeps her looking youthful, but it’s no surprise that she has wrinkles.

When you inspect images up close you have to question what the person responsible for the retouching was thinking when he / she completely changed Madonna’s face.

Her toned arms and legs need absolutely no retouching, so it’s surprising that they are either concealed or slimmed down in the images. Thankfully in both photos her cleavage was left intact, tight and perky as ever.

In the end, I’ll take it for what it is since the images came out gorgeous and beautiful and I enjoyed looking at them. Photo-shop or no photo-shop, Madonna looks fabulous at any age.
