Vivienne Westwood & Naomi Campbell

Vivienne Westwood has designed a limited edition t-shirt in collaboration with Fashion For Relief which was unveiled at the Fashion for Relief – Haiti show to be held on February 18 in London.

The Vital Statistics’ T-shirt that Vivienne Westwood created for Naomi Campbell’s Fashion For Relief charity features facts and figures relating to climate change and the Haiti earthquake.

In addition, the t-shirt aims to raise money for pregnant women and new mothers in the devastated Caribbean country.

Westwood’s T-shirt design promotes The White Ribbon Alliance’s support for the rebuilding of pregnancy and childbirth services around the world, with special focus on its partners in Haiti following the earthquake in January.

Perhaps that’s why the t-shirt features a set of bare breasts.

Leave it to the Brits to come up with a charity t-shirt that is so cutting edge and fabulous that its sold out everywhere and impossible to get a hold of.

Westwood opened her Fall 2010 show with models wearing the Fashion for Relief graffiti style t-shirt paired with her punk roots and tartan.

But what makes her shows so unique is Westwood’s ability to combine a mish-mash of prints, plaids, and day-glo colors that somehow works when paired together.

Traditional pieces are given an edgy makeover, while still keeping a classic aesthetic which is something Vivienne does best.

For the finale, Vivienne Westwood joined all the models on stage clad in the Fashion for Relief – Haiti t-shirts paired with everything from printed leggings to skirts and pirate boots.

The t-shirt is being sold exclusively on the Vivienne Westwood website – www.viviennewestwoodonline.co.uk – and in the Vivienne Westwood Conduit Street and World’s End stores.

Price: £40.00 / $65.20
